BOOM BOAT OPERATOR
The Teal Jones Group (Surrey based company) has an immediate opening for a full time Boom Boat Operator.
Previous experience working on a Boom Boat is an asset, but will train the right candidate. Experience working in a
Sawmill and operating a Loader is a benefit.
Individuals who can work efficiently with safety in mind and minimal supervision are encouraged to apply.

PREVENTATIVE MAINTENANCE COORDINATOR FOR SAWMILLS
We are a leading integrated forest products company searching for a highly motivated
and ambitious individual to work and be challenged in their field.
Major duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Develop and implementation a formal Preventative Maintenance Program for the site sawmills.
- Develop and maintain daily and weekly maintenance schedules.
- Maintain plant shutdown schedule.
- Maintain and improve the maintenance business process.
- Assess the full extent of the maintenance required to conduct the relevant repairs.
- Assess the full extent of the preventative or predictive design-out activities on the plant's
equipment and develop a strategic plan (with all necessary departments) to undertake the relevant work.
- Develop and present cost budgets and estimated time allotments to carry out the work to Maintenance
and Mill Managers.
- Work with lead hands to ensure jobs are kitted and resources are planned and scheduled for each job.
- Documentation & reporting through the PM program.
- Develop and write applicable maintenance procedures that promote defect free maintenance work quality.
- Ensure current best practices are employed.
- Perform operating Millwright duties and repairs on equipment when necessary.
Candidates must possess the following qualifications:
- Red Seal (Inter-provincial) or B.C.T.Q. Millwright certification. (Candidates with
extensive sawmill maintenance experience in a supervisory capacity will also be considered.)
- Competency in welding.
- Practical knowledge in hydraulics control systems.
- Knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.
- Computer literacy in MS Excel, MS Word, CAD Software and basis knowledge in PLC control systems
is necessary.
- Good technical, problem solving and trouble-shooting skills.
- Attention to detail and follow through.
- Ability to coach and safely lead a diverse workforce.
- Must be able to work in a team environment.
- Must be dependable.
- Must be able to work shift work and weekends.
- Supervisory experience is a benefit.
This positions reports to the Maintenance Manager and works closely with the Mill Managers
and plant personnel to implement and maintain best maintenance practices.

SAW FILER
We are a leading integrated forest products company searching for a highly motivated
and ambitious individual to work and be challenged in their field.
Major duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Swedge, shape and sharpen all bandsaws (Armstrong auto swage).
- Weld bandsaw teeth.
- Maintain grinders.
- Bench 5' through 8' band mills.
- Bench and weld band saw cracks with Mig welder or Tig welder.
- Operate computerized bench (Iseli ZR-1).
- Hammer and sharpen buck saws 60" to 84".
- Bench Gang saws, 34" diameter, guided, 0.140" plate.
- Bench edger saws 20 diameter .140 plate.
- Bench Vertical Double Arbour edger saws, 17" diameter, 0.090" plate.
- Operate Kahny tipper and CHF-210 would be an asset.
- Maintain all circular equipment 970 Simonds auto leveler.
- Grind chipper knives (reform bed grinder).
- Proficiency in welding saw plate.
Candidates must possess the following qualifications:
- Sawmill experience.
- Must be able to work shift work and weekends.
- Good communication skills and be able to work in a team environment.
