Overview

The Teal-Jones Group manufactures Whitewood lumber, (Hemlock, Douglas Fir and Sitka Spruce) at J.S. Jones and Stag Timber sawmills located side by side at the Surrey site.

J.S. Jones is a highly efficient small log mill designed for maximum lumber recovery and production primarily from logs harvested from second growth timber stands. Rough lumber produced at these sawmills is processed and packaged for shipment at two separate locations. Stag Reman, a planer mill, sorting and re-saw facility located at the Surrey site, has the flexibility to produce a wide variety of specialty products with a high percentage destined for off-shore markets. Boston Bar Planer provides planing and associated drying services to company and outside sawmills. The operation performs custom planing and drying as a service and has sorting facilities to provide lumber finishing for domestic and U.S. bound lumber products.

Stag Timber strives to extract maximum value from some of the largest logs on the west coast of British Columbia. The new Sumas planer mill facility, located in Sumas WA, receives daily truckload shipments of rough lumber from Surrey and produces a range of high quality S4S Dimension lumber products.
