NewsThis International Women’s Day Teal Jones would like to highlight the dozen hard-working women rocking key roles at our Sumas mill in Washington State. Site Manager Jasbir Mann has worked in forestry for almost four decades, starting in cleanup and working her way through the ranks of grading, log yard driver, weigh master, and charge hand. She came to Teal Jones as a shift supervisor in 2005 and was promoted to the top job as site manager in 2019. Carrie O’Neill is the site’s shipper, responsible for coordinating the shipping of all lumber by truck or rail. Leticia Cristobal has worked in a number of roles, and is currently managing inventory. Angelica Mendoza, Angelina Rodriguez, Candida Reyes, Rossana Hernandez, Tania Rizzo, Victoria Wilson, Viral Toor, and Zuleidys Barrios work in the mill – wrapping, tally, tilt hoist, and grading – some of them also as trainers. Kandy Bromley runs the place as office administrator, while Debra Kirkey is safety coordinator and office assistant.
We couldn’t do it without you, and we appreciate you all!
